English Translation of M.K. Binodini’s Asangba Nongjabi, included in MU graduation English Literature course

The English translation of M.K. Binodini’s classic “Asangba Nongjabi”,  by her son Somi Roy, has been included for English literature under-graduation study of the Manipur University.

The novel translated in English as “Crimson Raincloud”, will enter the under-graduation course for the first time in the 4th year starting this May, Somi Roy told IRAP adding “I’m happy to say that Crimson Rainclouds, my English translation of MK Binodini’s Asangba Nongjabi will be taught in the English Literature departments of Manipur University and its constituent colleges.”

He said he has heard from English Literature faculty that teachers and students are worried they will not get enough copies of the translation when the course begins.
