WHERE SHOULD WE GO?
Predators everywhere in this country…
It’s an endemic…
Where is the cure?
What do we do?
Assault in workplaces,
Assault in public spaces,
Assault at homes,
Assault at schools,
Assault everywhere.
We (women) are the victims;
We (women) are the survivors.
And, we (women) are incessantly blamed!!!
WHEN WILL THE COUNTRY WAKE UP?!
WHEN WILL THE CULPRITS BE PUNISHED?!
WHEN WILL JUSTICE BE SERVED?!
The system, the governments, the people…
Everyone points their fingers at women.
“Don’t wear short clothes!”
“Don’t go out at night!”
“Don’t wear make-up!”
When will the victim blaming stop?!!
Where should we go if our homes, schools, workplaces, public spaces are not safe?!
From Goddess Hera to Draupadi,
Since time immemorial…
WOMEN have been done wrong.
Nothing has changed thousands of years later.
No civilization will survive without women.
We have been resilient,
We have been patient.
We have been strong,
We have been wronged!!
Even if we have been stripped off our dignity-
We still continue to rise!
Like Kali, we shall destroy the darkness!
Like Kali, we shall crush patriarchy!
Like Kali, we shall bring justice upon this earth!
